Abandoned Cart Recovery

Cart Recovery reminds shoppers who added products to their cart but did not finish the order. The reminder goes out on WhatsApp or by email, names the products they left, and links back to the store. It is one of the quickest ways to win back sales you have already nearly made.

Before you start

• A connected WooCommerce or Shopify store — On WooCommerce, switch on “Cart recovery” under “Send shopper activity to Botvee” in the plugin; it is off by default
• WhatsApp or an email account connected to the same AI agent — Reminders can only go out on a connected channel

How to set it up

   Switch it on

   Open Dashboard → Explore Features and turn on Abandoned Cart Recovery

   Open the page

   Click Recovery in the side menu

   Pick one AI agent

   Then click “Settings”. Settings belong to one agent

   Turn on “Enable Automated Recovery”

   Without this, carts are listed but no reminders go out

   Choose where reminders go

   Under “Send reminders on”, switch on WhatsApp, Email or both. Only connected channels can be switched on

   Set the timing

   “Wait before 1st reminder (mins)”, “Reminders” (up to 5) and “Gap between them (hours)”

   Pick a language and Quiet Hours

   English or Roman Urdu, and the hours when nothing is sent

   Choose a WhatsApp template

   Needed for shoppers who have not written to you in 24 hours

   Click “Save Settings”

   Reminders start for carts left from now on

What happens next

• Botvee finds carts that were left without an order
• It sends up to 5 reminders, never during your quiet hours
• If the shopper orders, reminders stop and the cart is marked Recovered by Botvee, or Bought on their own if no reminder had gone out yet
• Shoppers can opt out, and are never messaged again about that cart

What you can do with it

• See every cart — With its status: Pending, Abandoned, Recovered by Botvee, Bought on their own, Not recovered or Opted out
• See your results — Recovered revenue, carts recovered and recovery rate
• Act on one cart — Send a reminder yourself with “Remind”, or stop reminders for one shopper

Troubleshooting

• No carts appear — On WooCommerce, switch on “Cart recovery” in the plugin. Only shoppers who have given an email or phone number are sent to Botvee
• Carts appear but nothing is sent — Turn on “Enable Automated Recovery” and at least one channel under “Send reminders on”
• WhatsApp reminders fail — Pick an approved template, and add a payment method in Meta
