Facebook Messenger

Your AI agent answers messages sent to your Facebook Page, so people who find you on Facebook get an answer straight away. Chats appear in your Botvee Inbox next to every other channel. Today you connect with your Page ID and a Page Access Token; one-click Meta login is coming soon.

Before you start

• A Facebook Page you manage
• The Page ID — In Facebook, open your Page, then About or Page transparency, to find it
• A Page Access Token with messaging permission — Made in your Meta developer app (developers.facebook.com). Ask your developer if you do not have one
• An AI agent in Botvee

How to set it up

   Open the window

   Go to Dashboard → Integrations → Facebook Messenger and click “Connect”. A window titled “Connect Facebook Messenger” opens

   Select the AI agent

   All Messenger messages on this Page will be handled by this agent

   Enter the “Page ID”

   The number that identifies your Page

   Paste the “Page Access Token”

   The long token from your Meta developer app. A token is a long code that lets Botvee read and answer your Page’s messages

   Click “Connect Messenger”

   You see “Messenger connected successfully!”

   Test it

   Send a message to your Page from another Facebook account

What you can do with it

Good to know

• One-click Meta login is coming soon. Today you paste the ID and token
• To disconnect, open the same window and click “Disconnect” on the agent’s row
• AI replies use 10 credits each

Troubleshooting

• “Please enter your Facebook Page ID” — The Page ID box is empty
• “Connection failed” — The Page ID and token do not match, or the token lacks messaging permission. Make a new token for this Page
• Replies stopped after a while — The token may have expired. Make a new one and connect again
